Success at Horizons Community Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into small groups. It is our goal to see everyone at Horizons Community Church experience authentic community by getting connected to a group and then to be transformed by God and others. We think this transformation happens best, while studying God’s word together and discussing the issues and challenges of life. It’s also where you will receive the ABC’s of a group which are Accountability, Belonging and Care.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or leadership to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That’s why we place such a high premium on small group life.

Small groups, what are they? They are made up of five to six couples or five to eight individuals and are the place where people are personally encouraged and challenged in their relationship with God and each other.

Starting Point is a conversational environment where people can explore faith and experience community. The format is a 10-week small group designed for those who are curious about Christianity, new Christians, and those coming back to church after being away for a while.
