Married Life Ministry Overview

Horizons Community Church is committed to offering a variety of resources to couples in an effort to ensure strong and healthy marriages. This is not an all inclusive list, but it is a starting point for you to move forward with. For questions please contact Todd LaVine at 763-413-7210 x113

Books - We are committed to the “6 Essentials of a Successful Marriage”. We will also have available many video and book tools for couples that will help them to enrich their marriage. Check for availability in the Bookstore.

Classroom / Teaching – Classes will be offered periodically that address a variety of issues that affect the marriage. Keep your eyes on the bulletin or online as these classes become available.

Counseling Services - We do not have anyone on staff nor do we have anyone at this time that is licensed and trained in this area. That is why in most cases we will end up needing to refer these couples to a professional. There are several trustworthy and licensed counseling services that we refer individuals or couples to. Married Life Live - Married Life Live is a several time a year opportunity for you and your spouse to come and be with other couples and experience great food, great music, creative programming, discussion time and a relevant message designed to encourage and empower your marriage. Keep your eyes on the bulletin or online as these nights become available.

Mentoring Couples - Here you will find seasoned and experienced couples who are willing to take a couple under their wing. There are mentor relationships for couples thinking of marriage, newlyweds, couples who have a good marriage, but want a great marriage, and couples who are in distress. Small Groups – Small Groups are perhaps one of the greatest ways to strengthen your marriage. Being a part of a Small Group allows you to get to know other couples in your age range that have similar life experiences. We believe strongly in Small Groups and they are critical to our future. Therefore we are committed that every couple be connected to a Small Group. Life change is next to impossible apart from the context of community.
