These two groups are not meeting this summer and will start again in the fall.
Mom’s
Ministry - Once upon a time, there were
some moms who met at Horizons Community Church and became friends. They would
meet periodically at the local park, in each others' homes, or at local play
lands to share good times, vent, and connect with like minded Christian moms.
Their kids ranged from infants to 6 years old, with a wide range of
personalities and interests. They became a solid support system for one another
and expanded their play dates to family get tog ethers, moms' night outs, and
welcomed women new to motherhood with a hot meal and an open ear. They shared
the ups and downs of their days and created memories during one of the most
special times of their lives: early motherhood. The first gathering will be at Horizons Community
Church in the Youth Room on Tuesday, March 8 from 10:00am - Noon. To

The Power of a Positive Single Mom Group - Every Mom feels a profound sense
of responsibility in knowing that she is responsible for raising her children to
know God. The hope for this group is to offer fellowship for one another and
tools of how to raise and parent our children through the eyes of the Lord. The
book we are starting out with is The Power of a Positive Mom, by Karol Ladd. The
cost for this book is $12. This group starts March 8th on Monday nights. It’s
for single moms who want to join a group that will be meeting every Monday night
at the church from 6:30- 8:00pm. Childcare will be available for a modest charge
and the details are still being worked out. Pre-registration is required and you
can do so by dropping off your name and contact information at the Information
Center or by calling Jessica Schutz at
